JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Planner will be a key member of the Glow Events planning team. They will be responsible for producing their own events from start to finish, building key client relationships, and pushing the envelope with their event designs. Below is an overview of the roles and expected job responsibilities. These may change based on the need of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management | Serve as lead on each of your programs and work directly with your clients to plan 10–15 events throughout the year, which might include:
- IPO Events
- Holiday Parties
- Summer Picnics
- Executive Conferences and Summits
- Brand and Product Launches
- C-Suite Dinners and Entertainment
- Road Shows and Field Marketing Events
- Trade Show Booth Design
- Signature Birthdays
- Bat Mitzvahs
Project Management | Oversee and manage the following aspects of each event:
- Lead client meetings
- Oversee deadlines and keep the project on track
- Oversee and manage event design, including but not limited to mood boards and design decks
- Manage the event timeline and guest flow
- Oversee complex and technical vendors
Team Management | Work directly with the Junior Planners on your projects and oversee delegate tasks, such as:
- Call agendas / meeting notes
- Vendor contracts / communications
- Updating and maintaining client-facing docs (readiness packet, budget, sourcing sheets)
- Updating and maintaining internal processes (Basecamp, file setups, closeouts)
Process Mastery | Show expertise in Glow’s planning process and template usage across all events
Onsite | Be onsite lead at events to ensure they run smoothly
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of event planning experience (event agency experience preferred)
- Proven ability to independently lead multiple complex events
- Strong client management, leadership, and communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with a refined design sensibility
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
DETAILS
- Location: San Francisco, CA (in-person)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday event-based evenings/weekends
- Travel: Bay Area occasional out-of-state
SALARY
- $100K Annually with an additional $10K-20K production bonus
