Compensation
$142,000 - $162,000/Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all ports, VPCs, and IPSs are being run efficiently per company guidelines
- Ensure good management techniques are being used that promote a safe and efficient work environment that achieves GLOVIS' objectives and the goals of our clients
- Insure the profitability of all sites
- Review financial reports, driving a "cause and effect" review to improve profitability
- Equate specific operations activities to their financial impact
- Work to ensure that the entire port operations is working to achieve our clients' wholesale objectives
- Monitor daily activity and production to make sure it is meeting the national operations plan
- Take corrective actions as needed to ensure the national operations plan production goals are met
- Provide oversight and management leadership to the quality department
- Ensure that the department is proactively supporting GLOVIS field operations
- As the primary liaison between GLOVIS and our clients' quality groups
- By identifying problems, developing solutions, and through implementation of those solutions in conjunction with each site's operations management

- Proficient PC skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and database management systems Required
- Data "Mining" experience (SAP, AS400, System 36, etc) Required
- Presentation skills Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills Required
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills Required
- Time management and organization skills, with ability to multitask and manage multiple projects Required
- Bachelor Degree Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- 10 - 15 years of direct experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and/or Operations Management Required
- 4 - 7 years of supervisory experience Required
- 13 -18 years of direct experience in the Automotive Industry, and/or Finance Preferred
- 7-10 years of supervisory experience Preferred
- Financial review experience Preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Possibility of domestic travel - 20%
- Operating desk machines such as desktop, computers, laptop, printer, scanners, shredders, etc.
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
