The Opportunity
We are looking for an Account Executive with hospitality experience who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a talent for creating compelling narratives that elevate brands. In this role, you will collaborate with a passionate team and partner with some of the most exciting and influential names in the lifestyle and hospitality industries.
You will pitch media and secure quality placements, draft public relations materials (including press releases, media alerts, Q&As, briefing notes, and marketing copy), and help develop campaign ideas and activations. You’ll also support events, outreach efforts, client reporting, press clippings, research, meeting prep, and more.
The ideal candidate brings hospitality experience, strategic insight, exceptional media-relations skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding client service. You’ll play a key role in developing and executing programs that build visibility and credibility for our clients.
Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site, Embarcadero)
Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience

What You'll Do
Media Relations & Storytelling
- Develop and pitch compelling story ideas that secure earned media coverage across hospitality, travel, lifestyle, food & beverage, and consumer media
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and content creators
- Create and edit press releases, media alerts, pitches, fact sheets, Q&As, briefing documents, and marketing copy
- Manage incoming media requests and coordinate interviews, photo shoots, media visits, and press opportunities
Campaign Development & Account Support
- Contribute to strategic communications plans and campaign development
- Collaborate with account teams to brainstorm creative concepts and execute integrated PR initiatives
- Conduct industry research, trend analysis, competitive audits, and fact-checking to support client objectives
Press Assets & Reporting
- Maintain digital press kits, media assets, photography libraries, and coverage archives
- Track, analyze, and report media coverage and campaign performance
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity
Events & Influencer Engagement
- Assist with the planning and execution of media events, grand openings, influencer activations, and brand experiences
- Support influencer and creator outreach aligned with client goals
- Attend and staff events as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends
Team Collaboration
- Prepare materials, agendas, recaps, and presentations for client and internal meetings
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for existing and prospective business
- Partner closely with senior team members to ensure seamless account execution
Mentorship & Professional Development
- Help guide and support Account Coordinators on agency processes and media relations best practices
- Continue building expertise through hands-on learning and professional growth opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 2–4 years of experience in a lifestyle, hospitality, travel, or consumer-focused PR environment
- Demonstrated success securing media coverage and developing media relationships
- Exceptional writing skills, including experience drafting press releases, media alerts, pitches, and media kits
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, required
- Experience using media monitoring and database platforms such as Muck Rack, Meltwater, or Critical Mention
- Excellent verbal communication, editing, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and project-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
