Position: Mechanical Draftsman
Location: Hill Air Force Base, Utah 84056
Type: Full Time (Monday - Friday, 0730-1630)
Start Date: Immediate on completion of credentialing
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Engineering Data Design Drafting Section receives requests for three (3) engineering data design drafting project types; MTDP Development, MTDP Revision Support and Legacy Technical Data Packages (TDP) support. A mix of new product development and revisions to existing legacy data. All projects will be worked in collaboration with a professional government engineer
Credentials:
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of 3D Modeling software; SolidWorks is the primary.
- Must be proficient in the development of fully annotated parametric 3D models that includes all required PMI.
- Must be proficient in the development of derivative (associated) 2D drawings fully defining a production level TDP.
- Must be proficient in management of engineering data change processes and responsibilities as it applies to configuration management and revision control, validation, verification and incorporation of EOs into applicable TDPs.
- Must be familiar with AutoCAD or understand how to effectively import and modify .dxf files withing SolidWorks
Certification: A minimum of 6 years’ experience is required at the Journeyman Engineering Technician level or a bachelor’s degree in design manufacturing technology or equivalent degree
