Glocomms is partnered with a leading energy and software firm to hire a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic leadership, driving modernization, security, and operational excellence.
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives across data centers, including servers, storage, network equipment, UPS systems, and lifecycle refreshes.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud architectures, including cloud infrastructure, virtual networks, storage, backup/recovery, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/ExpressRoute).
- Oversee data center operations (rack & stack, structured cabling, power/cooling planning, hardware decommissioning) and maintain asset inventory and documentation.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies aligned with RTO/RPO objectives.
- Drive security, compliance, and risk management, including SOC 2 alignment, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and SIEM/EDR integration.
- Manage enterprise infrastructure environments, including virtualization platforms, hypervisor clusters, VMs, Windows/Linux systems, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and identity management (IAM, MFA, hybrid identity).
- Architect and support enterprise networking, including routing/switching, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, segmentation, and performance optimization.
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions, including alerting, logging, and incident management with post-incident analysis.
- Lead automation initiatives using scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including provisioning and operational runbooks.
- Strong experience across infrastructure engineering, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
- Proven knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST, ISO, CIS) and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools, storage systems (SAN/NAS) and multi-cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with a strong ownership mindset.
- Hybrid work environment (3-days onsite).
- Cloud certifications: Microsoft Azure (AZ-104, AZ-305), AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Networking certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Security certifications: CISSP, CISM, Security , CEH, or equivalent.
- Experience in MSP environments or large-scale infrastructure operations.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
