Maintenance Technician
This position is responsible for helping with general maintenance and groundskeeping duties for a 75,000 sqft manufacturing facility and its general systems, fixtures and equipment. Must be able to use basic hand tools, power tools, forklift and groundskeeping equipment and have a thorough knowledge of maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with repairs of main manufacturing facility grounds.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize business interruption and ensure that buildings, systems and equipment meet or exceed their rated life.
- Perform minor construction as directed by CEO and management.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties such as mowing, mulching, pulling weeds, fertilizers, insecticides, trees, planting, etc.
- May assist in providing carpentry, painting, assembly and other responsibilities
- This position requires working independently and must have strong common sense along with a broad skillset, while also being detail oriented and adhering to safety precautions.
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of two years in a similar or related role
- Good observation and communication skills: listening, oral and written
- Building and grounds general maintenance
- Understanding of systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, vacuum systems and fuel stations
- Construction, repair and maintenance
- Operate power tools and forklift. Experience towing trailers behind truck.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel and walk for lengthy periods of time.
- Ability to use hand tools such as shovel, hoes, pruning, shears, knives and ladders and operate heavy machinery
- Ability to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
- Applicants must be able to successfully pass background check and have a good driving record.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
