POSITION: Senior Fixed Income Specialist, Multi-Family Office
This role is a senior investment professional who serves as a firmwide resource across taxable fixed income strategies, with particular depth in preferred securities and capital structure–oriented investments. This role combines hands-on investment judgment with the ability to clearly explain the firm’s fixed income positioning, philosophy, and market views to clients, advisors, and internal partners. The position works closely with portfolio managers, client advisory teams, and senior leadership. Beyond technical expertise, success in this role requires sound judgment, broad market perspective, and the ability to act as a trusted voice on fixed income matters—both internally and externally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fixed Income & Preferred Securities Expertise
- Act as a senior fixed income resources across the taxable fixed income suite
- Primary specialist for preferred securities, with focus on structure, issuer fundamentals, and capital structure positioning
- Work with portfolio managers to review portfolio positioning, risk exposures, and alignment with client objectives and investment guidelines
- Assess how portfolios may perform during periods of rate volatility, credit stress, or issuer-specific events, including the impact on preferred securities
Client Communication & Engagement
- Help clients and advisors understand portfolio positioning, market conditions, and
the role of fixed income within broader client objectives
- Support the development of portfolio commentary, client letters, and marketing
materials, particularly during periods of market volatility
- Participate in client and prospect meetings as a fixed income resource, with an
emphasis on income-oriented strategies and preferred securities.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Contribute fixed income perspective to investment discussions in coordination with
the firm’s Chief Economist and Investment Committee members
- Provide mentorship, leadership and technical guidance to fixed income PMs and analysts and collaborate with firmwide teams for effective management/support
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15 years of experience across taxable fixed income markets, with demonstrated
depth in preferreds
- CFA designation and/or advanced degree preferred
- Experience supporting bespoke, high-net-worth portfolios in a wealth management
or multi-family office environment
- Proven ability to communicate investment ideas clearly and persuasively to both internal and external audiences
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
