COMPENSATION: $115-150K range DOE bonus eligibility comprehensive benefits
HOURS: 8:30am – 5:30pm (flexibility as needed)
Our client, a New York City based Investment Firm, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Generalist to join their growing People team. This role will support core HR operations across the employee lifecycle while partnering closely with leadership and internal stakeholders to enhance people processes and infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong HRIS expertise, a process-improvement mindset, and hands-on experience redesigning onboarding programs in a fast-paced, finance or investment environment.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key People Ops partner supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee data management, performance processes, and offboarding
• Lead or support HRIS selection, implementation, optimization, and ongoing system integrations; act as a subject-matter expert for HR systems
• Redesign and continuously improve the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through an employee’s first months and beyond
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity across HR systems and downstream integrations
• Partner with internal stakeholders on process improvements, documentation, and scalable people operations workflows
• Support compliance-related processes, audits, and reporting as needed
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide day-to-day HR support with a high level of professionalism and discretion
• Assist with ad hoc People initiatives and projects as the firm continues to grow
Requirements:
• 7-12 years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or similar role, ideally within financial services
• Strong HRIS experience, including hands-on involvement in system selection, implementation, and integrations
• Demonstrated experience redesigning and improving onboarding processes end-to-end
• Solid understanding of HR operations, policies, and employee lifecycle best practices
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and process-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
• High degree of discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
Salary : $115,000 - $150,000
