Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for an Interpreter. The Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between parties who speak different languages by providing real-time interpretation across various settings such as legal, healthcare, and corporate environments. Responsibilities include accurately interpreting spoken or signed language, preparing for assignments by researching specific terminology, and maintaining confidentiality in all interactions. The role demands high linguistic expertise, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism in all communications.
Qualifications
- Fluency in at least two languages, including proficiency in speaking, listening, and comprehension
- Strong knowledge of interpretation techniques and the ability to adapt to various interpretation styles
- Familiarity with legal, medical, or business terminology and concepts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Attention to detail, confidentiality, and excellent time-management abilities
- Proven experience as a professional interpreter is preferred
- Certification in interpretation or a related field is a plus
- Experience in using remote interpretation technologies and tools is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in remote settings, demonstrating independence and adaptability
