Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee field execution for a substation infrastructure project in Weleetka, OK. This role is responsible for managing daily construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has direct experience working on electrical substations or utility infrastructure projects and can effectively manage field operations from mobilization through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for substation foundations, conduit installation, and electrical equipment upgrades
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, crews, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and client requirements
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, utility, and site-specific safety standards
- Lead daily site meetings, safety briefings, and progress updates
- Monitor project schedule and proactively address delays or conflicts
- Review and approve field reports, timesheets, and daily logs
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Interface with client representatives, engineers, and inspectors
- Manage material deliveries, staging, and site logistics
- Support project closeout, punch list completion, and documentation turnover
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of construction management experience, preferably in substation or utility projects
- Proven experience managing electrical infrastructure, conduit systems, and foundation work
- Strong knowledge of substation safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a remote/rural job site environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal, utility, or power authority projects
- Background in high-voltage or medium-voltage systems
- OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
- PMP or equivalent project management certification (a plus)
- Experience with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation systems
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $30-$50 per hour (based on experience)
- Per Diem: Provided (if applicable)
- Travel / Lodging: May be included based on candidate location
- Duration: Project-based (estimated duration aligned with construction schedule)

- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass background check (if required by client)
- Must be able to work on-site for the duration of the project
