Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Shipping and Receiving Clerk role based in Sarasota, FL. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, verifying, and documenting incoming shipments; preparing and packing outgoing orders; and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and accurately. Daily tasks include unloading and moving materials, inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, and maintaining organized storage areas. The role also involves performing inventory control activities such as cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and updating records in inventory systems. The clerk will communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipping issues, coordinate delivery schedules, and support smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform core warehouse operations, including Shipping & Receiving and Packing, with attention to accuracy and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment preferred but not required. We will teach you on the job.
- Basic computer skills are beneficial.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
