Role Description:
The Assembly Technician will assemble, install and test products using technical documents like drawings and schematics. Key responsibilities include using hand and power tools, minor troubleshooting, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additional job duties may be assigned.
- Piece together parts and components to build finished products according to specifications.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to guide assembly process.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, and occasionally more complex machinery, to assemble products.
- Inspect components and final product to ensure it meets quality standards and functions properly.
- May perform diagnostic tests on assembled items and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions to resolve them.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, including basic tool and assembly equipment maintenance.
- Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task and meet production goals and deadlines.
- Competent at basic dimensional measuring and able to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- May move materials with fork truck and or overhead crane with lift assist.

Work Environment

Education/Experience/Certifications:
To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED; some technical schooling preferred.
Experience:
Two or more years of similar hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
