OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The mission of the Army Junior ROTC program is to motivate young people to be better Americans through citizenship, leadership and a number of other courses designed to help cadets succeed in high school and the importance of graduation to a successful future. Provides direction and guidance that allows cadets to perform to the best of their abilities in any of the specialty teams (Color Guard, Rifle Team, Drill Team, Honor Guard). Assists school officials, faculty, student body, parents and the community towards understanding of the role of the US Army in the National Defense of America by highlighting the importance of team building, attention to detail, drill capabilities, self-esteem and motivation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
