General Shop Help – Parts Degreaser

If you have a strong work ethic and looking for a career in manufacturing with a dynamic Employee-Owned company, we have entry level opportunities in our Parts Degrease and Chemical Clean department that will be a wonderful place to start. Globe was established in 1946 in Wichita Kansas, where it produced child safety seats for automobiles. We have grown over the years and now we supply tubes and sheet metal parts to a variety of aviation companies throughout the world. Job Objective: Committed to being part of a positive working environment while providing quality products and meeting customer’s schedule. Position will perform a variety of duties within the assigned shop.

Essential Job Functions:

· Good mechanical skills.

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to read, understand and follow general job operations.

· Frequently lifts 10 – 25 lbs.; occasionally lifts 50lbs.

· Standing or walking for extended periods of time, including stairs

· Ability to bend, stoop and twist.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Good mechanical skills

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

· Ability to understand and follow directions to complete assigned task.

· Ability to count and assure the quantities and part numbers are correct.

· Ability to learn how to operate a variety of machines.

Work Environment:

· Usual working days/hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based on company needs, may require working on Saturdays or extended hours.

· Manufacturing shop environment

Equipment:

· General Hand Tools

Requirements

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
