Essential Job Functions
Ability to work 12-hour shift schedules
Changing out drums, totes, cylinders, and other containers
Responding to alarms in a timely manner
Maintaining the equipment systems and performing preventative maintenance
Understanding how the systems operate
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment
Member of Emergency Response Team (ERT) and maintain HAZWOPER training
Other duties as assigned
Ancillary Job Functions
Offloading and loading trucks
Purchasing supplies and tracking inventory
Writing procedures (SOPs and PMs)
Performing rounds
Mixing slurries
Assist vendors and contractors with installing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
Assisting the Fab with troubleshooting production equipment
Required Qualifications
High School graduate or GED
Relevant experience working with chemical, gas, and slurry blending systems
Relevant experience working with high purity systems in a semiconductor application
Ability to document work
Understanding of chemical and physical hazards
Preferred Qualifications
Computer skills
Previous Fork Truck experience
HAZWOPER training and experience
Emergency Response Team (ERT) experience

Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor protocol/requirement
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment for working in hazardous environments

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Chemical technicians must be medically qualified to wear respirators, regularly lift and move heavy objects, and perform activities that include climbing vertical ladders, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and crawling.
