Purpose and Scope: The Engineer Technician is responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's production processes. All production processes are required to meet customer product requirements and their goals for both quality yields and quoted labor times. This will be achieved by evaluating customer product requirements, and developing and maintaining manufacturing equipment, methods, training, tooling, and documentation, while measuring quality and production performance to requirements. This will be achieved through the skills and responsibilities as follows:
· Qualified Candidates will have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the Electrical and/or Industrial Manufacturing or Engineering field.
· MUST HAVE Experience with wire harness industry production and quality standards/workmanship guidelines (WHMA/IPC 620) .
Strong knowledge of engineering procedures, process capability DOEs, and change control.
· Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools.
· Strong problem solving and advance planning for quality skills.
· Good communication skills, both oral and written
· Strong Team Player who recognizes the value of organizational support.
· Ability to analyze drawings and CAD data to determine design and manufacturing requirements.
· Recommend appropriate components, tooling, fixtures, and materials based upon product requirements.
· Create engineering/production documentation to support mfg processes
· Good organization skills
· Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Access and Word.
· Proficient in AutoCad.
