As a RF Wireless Systems Engineer (5G), you will work as part of a team developing solutions that solve complex and challenging problems spanning diverse industries and verticals. This involves cross-layer RF system design and optimization, modeling, and performance analysis at the rf digital RF boundary. The successful candidate is expected to have a deep knowledge of the 3GPP/FCC requirements of LTE and NR air interfaces.

What You Will Bring To XCOM RAN By Globalstar
- MSEE with at least 5 years of experience with wireless systems design and engineering, OR BSEE with at least 7 years of experience with wireless systems design and engineering.
- Detailed knowledge of wireless communication systems
- Recent and direct knowledge of the 3GPP 4G/5G RAN 4 specifications.
- Experience working on LTE/NR productization or standardization.
- Experience with spreadsheets, MATLAB, or scripting languages for algorithm development, evaluation, and product development
- Experience debugging RF systems, receiver, and transmitter power
- Experience with IQ log capture post processing in MATLAB
- Knowledge of the PLLs, RF noise figure, transmit linearity, and distortion
- Experience attending or contributing to 3GPP RAN working groups, particularly with RAN
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Willingness and ability to work after regularly scheduled hours as needed, particularly during launch campaigns, anomaly response, and critical mission events
- Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods working on a computer (4 to 8 hours)
- Ability to operate the equipment used for the job
- Ability to lift 15 pounds at times
