Responsibilities
- Review construction plans, specifications, and project requirements to determine scaffolding needs.
- Prepare accurate estimates for scaffolding equipment, materials, labor, and related services.
- Perform material takeoffs for conventional, system, and specialty scaffolding projects.
- Evaluate project access requirements, site conditions, and installation challenges.
- Prepare professional proposals, bids, and change order estimates.
- Communicate with general contractors, customers, project managers, and field personnel.
- Coordinate with operations personnel to ensure estimates reflect practical installation methods and equipment availability.
- Track bid opportunities, maintain estimating records, and follow up on submitted proposals.
- Assist with project planning and coordination as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in construction estimating, scaffolding, or a related construction field preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of scaffolding systems and construction practices is a plus.
- Experience with estimating or scaffolding design software is beneficial.
- Valid driver's license for occasional jobsite visits.
