The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout while ensuring alignment with established PMO governance standards and delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex IT projects with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, deliverables, and resource coordination.
- Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, design workshops, and project planning activities.
- Ensure timely communication of project status, timelines, milestones, and risks.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, and metrics.
- Coordinate testing activities including test objectives, test plans, and test cases.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects within approved timelines and budgets.
- Support training and transition activities for systems and applications.
- Utilize project management tools and reporting mechanisms to track project progress.
- Ensure adherence to PMO governance, standards, and project management methodologies.
- Active PMP Certification through PMI or Project Management Certification through VITA (mandatory).
- No other certifications will be considered in place of PMP/VITA certification.
- Strong experience managing enterprise IT projects.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with system analysis, design, development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience creating custom reports and working with standard IT tools/applications.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Agile Scrum Master certification.
- Prior experience working within transportation or public-sector IT environments.
- Hybrid work schedule requiring onsite presence 2 3 days per week.
- Selected candidate must successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check.
Salary : $70 - $75
