We are seeking an experienced HCM USA Architect with strong Payroll architecture expertise to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of US HCM and Payroll solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge of US Payroll, Benefits, Taxation, Compliance, and Time & Labor, along with hands-on experience in leading enterprise-level implementations and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and design of US HCM & Payroll solutions (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Labor).
- Define end-to-end payroll processing architecture including tax configurations, garnishments, W-2, 941, ACA compliance, and year-end processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions.
- Design integrations between HCM/Payroll and third-party systems (benefits providers, tax vendors, banks, GL systems).
- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Lead data migration, validation, reconciliation, and parallel payroll runs.
- Provide technical leadership for configuration, security design, workflows, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and ensure timely payroll processing.
- Support post-go-live stabilization and enhancements.
- 8 years of experience in HCM/Payroll implementation and architecture.
- Strong expertise in US Payroll processing and compliance.
- Experience working as a Solution Architect / Functional Architect in large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major HCM platform (Workday / Oracle HCM Cloud / SAP SuccessFactors / ADP).
- Deep understanding of:
- US Taxation (Federal, State, Local)
- Garnishments
- Benefits deductions
- Year-end processing
- Time & Labor integration
- Experience designing integrations (APIs, file-based, middleware).
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience in multi-state payroll environments.
- Prior experience in a Contract-to-Hire engagement.
- Certification in Workday/Oracle/SAP Payroll (if applicable).
- Experience in Financial integration (Payroll to GL).
- Experience with payroll vendor integrations (ADP, Ceridian, etc.).
- Knowledge of audit and SOX compliance processes.
Salary : $80 - $85
