What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter position at Global Vessel and Tank?
The Fitter - is an individual selected to fabricate fit and assemble the structural components of various products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fit components of drawing to drawings and job requirements
- Use proper equipment to fuse components together
- Analyze blueprints to ensure using proper components being used
- Layout and fit equipment with all tolerances per drawing, QC and calculations
- Work with Production Manager and QC to ensure maximum efficiency
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Communications skills in English/Spanish (if applicable).
- Experience in a variety of fitting procedures.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use PPE.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Familiar with Global Vessel and Tank software programs
