Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate fire alarm systems, ensuring all devices function correctly during scheduled shifts
- Conduct thorough construction inspections to verify compliance with fire safety standards and identify potential hazards
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and testing of fire sprinkler systems and related safety equipment
- Respond promptly to alarm activations or emergency situations, coordinating with emergency responders as needed
- Perform routine security checks, including CCTV surveillance, access control verification, and perimeter patrols during weekend daytime hours
- Assist with fire alarm sales initiatives by providing information on system features and benefits to clients or contractors
- Maintain detailed logs of all inspections, alarms, incidents, and system activities for compliance purposes
Requirements
- Valid F-89 Fire Life Safety Director certification or equivalent recognized credential
- Proven experience in security operations, fire alarm systems, or construction inspection related to fire safety
- Knowledge of system design principles for fire alarms, sprinklers, and integrated safety systems
- Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting and installation processes
- Strong understanding of construction practices as they relate to fire safety compliance
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with emergency responders, clients, and team members
- Ability to work independently during weekend daytime shifts with a proactive attitude toward safety management
