- Training Schedule: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (first few months)
- Operational Schedule (post-training): 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM, overnight coverage, 7 days a week (rotational scheduling as assigned)
Job Overview
Global Threat Solutions (GTS) is seeking a GSOC Operator to join a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center supporting enterprise-level security and resiliency operations. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats that may impact company personnel, facilities, travelers, and business operations.
The GSOC Operator serves as a critical first line of response for security incidents including natural disasters, civil unrest, workplace violence, facility intrusion, and other life-safety and operational risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors regarding security-related matters, with a strong customer service focus
- Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems and coordinate appropriate response actions
- Operate 24/7 emergency phone lines and triage incoming calls from sites and business travelers
- Respond to life-safety incidents (medical, safety, weather, workplace incidents) and dispatch security officers, facilities teams, police, fire, or EMS as needed
- Monitor and analyze open-source and subscription-based intelligence to identify potential threats
- Assess risk, determine potential business impact, and escalate incidents according to established protocols
- Draft and disseminate incident reports, alerts, and emergency mass notifications
- Monitor GSOC platforms and applications; triage work orders and coordinate troubleshooting with internal and external partners
- Maintain professional communication via phone, email, chat, two-way radio, and in-person interactions
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or international equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency operations, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven customer service experience
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-stress situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a GSOC, SOC, or control room environment
- Familiarity with:
- Critical Event Management (CEM) software
- Mass Notification Systems
- Travel tracking platforms
- Social media monitoring tools
- ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Experience with physical security systems including:
- Access control
- Alarm monitoring
- CCTV
- Incident reporting and case management software
