Position Summary:

The AV Installer/Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) systems in various settings, such as corporate offices, educational institutions, and entertainment venues. They will work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure that AV solutions meet technical specifications and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

System Installation

  • Install and configure AV equipment, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems. Ensure proper wiring, mounting, and placement of components according to technical specifications and design plans.

Integration

  • Integrate AV systems with existing infrastructure, including network connectivity, control interfaces, and audio/video sources (e.g., computers, media players, video conferencing systems). Test system functionality and troubleshoot integration issues as needed.

Programming

  • Program control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX) and audio/video processors to automate system operation and user interaction. Customize user interfaces and control protocols to meet client requirements.

Testing and Calibration

  • Conduct system testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance and audio/video quality. Adjust settings, levels, and configurations as necessary to achieve desired results.

Documentation

  • Create detailed documentation of installed systems, including wiring diagrams, equipment lists, configuration settings, and user manuals. Maintain accurate records of project documentation for future reference and troubleshooting.

Training

  • Provide training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of AV systems. Demonstrate system functionality, features, and best practices to ensure user proficiency and satisfaction.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV systems, including hardware failures, software glitches, and network connectivity issues. Provide timely support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform quality assurance checks on installed systems to verify compliance with technical standards, industry best practices, and client expectations. Address any deficiencies or discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction.

Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Provide input on system design, layout, and equipment selection to meet project goals and requirements.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • 2 Years experience in AV installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in AV technology, equipment, and standards (e.g., HDMI, Dante, HDBaseT).
  • Familiarity with audio/video processing, signal routing, and control systems.
  • Strong technical skills in networking, programming, and system configuration.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional travel may be required to client sites for installation, maintenance, or support activities.
  • Flexible work hours may be necessary to accommodate project deadlines and client schedules.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
