Job Title: Test Technician
Location: Franksville, WI 53126 (Onsite)
Duration: 4 Month (Possible Extension & Conversion to Permanent)
Pay Rate: $22/hour on W2 (without benefits)
Client: Eaton Corporation (A global leader in electrical and industrial power management solutions.)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 2nd Shift | 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Training: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), then transition to 2nd ShiftJob Summary
The Test Technician will prepare, configure, and perform high-voltage electrical testing according to established test plans and industry standards (IEEE/IEC). This role requires adherence to strict safety practices, accurate test documentation, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and set up AC/DC dielectric, impulse, and related high-voltage tests on electrical components.
- Monitor test equipment, verify readings, and document results in logs and reports.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and follow all required safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S standards.
- Complete and maintain all test documentation for audit and traceability.
- Identify and report anomalies or questionable test results to the Supervisor.
- Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and test procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited institution (preferred but flexible based on experience).
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in high-voltage environments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and safety practices.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Previous experience in high-voltage testing or electrical laboratory environments.
- Familiarity with IEEE/IEC test standards and high-voltage equipment.
- Hands-on experience in electrical testing or related technical roles.
