Duration: 12 Months (Potential for extension and conversion)
Rate: $25/hour on W2 (without benefits)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Description
The Buyer I will support procurement activities by releasing and managing purchase orders for raw materials and production-related requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring timely material availability, resolving procurement and invoice discrepancies, and maintaining accurate SAP transactions. You will also analyze part consumption patterns and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Release, manage, and track purchase orders for raw materials and production support items.
- Resolve procurement, quality, invoice, and inventory-related issues promptly.
- Perform accurate and timely SAP transactions.
- Analyze part consumption behavior and part characteristics to ensure supply readiness.
- Collaborate with customer service, suppliers, Product Engineering, and Production teams.
- Maintain documentation and support customer and production requirements efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related field.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems; SAP strongly preferred.
- Understanding of contract management principles.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management.
