Job Summary:
The Switch Technician is responsible for assembling small and intricate electro-mechanical products in a manufacturing environment. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documentation, work collaboratively with team members, and maintain a strong focus on quality and precision. The ideal candidate is a patient, fast learner who thrives in a demanding production setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, set up, and maintain tooling used in manufacturing processes
- Assemble, test, calibrate, and thermally compensate electro/mechanical devices
- Maintain accurate quality records related to production activities
- Interpret internal customer and supplier technical requirements
- Perform final acceptance testing on electro/mechanical pressure sensors (ATP)
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
- Position requires access to hardware or information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); applicants must qualify as U.S. persons (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience assembling small precision components
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical devices
- Experience working in high-quality production environments
Required Skills:
- Blueprint and technical document interpretation
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude
Preferred Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to interpret written instructions, sketches, and visual aids
- Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and quality-focused work habits
