Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, performing phlebotomy and specimen collection while ensuring a safe, accurate, and patient-focused experience. This role involves direct patient interaction, specimen handling, and adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment while explaining procedures clearly.
- Perform verification of patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
- Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
- Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete daily activities accurately and on time.
Required Experience:
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
- Customer service experience in retail or service industries.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training.
