Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, performing phlebotomy and specimen collection while ensuring a safe, accurate, and patient-focused experience. This role involves direct patient interaction, specimen handling, and adherence to established procedures and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment while explaining procedures clearly.
  • Perform verification of patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
  • Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Work under the direction of the area supervisor to complete daily activities accurately and on time.

Required Experience:

  • 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service industries.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Preferred Skills:

  • Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy
  • Customer service excellence
  • Medical training or certification
  • Multitasking in high-volume settings
