Job Summary:
The Packaging Assembler performs repetitive assembly and packaging of company products into complete packages. This includes software, medical or pharmaceutical products, PC boards, accessories, manuals, operating instructions, and data sheets. The role also supports production and warehouse functions by receiving units, verifying materials, and assisting with packaging preparation.
The Packaging Assembler performs repetitive assembly and packaging of company products into complete packages. The role also supports production and warehouse functions by receiving units, verifying materials, and assisting with packaging preparation.
This position is a hybrid assembly and light material handling role that supports production flow. Work includes receiving units from the warehouse, performing initial verification, light teardown and reassembly, and assisting production by running parts or picking items in the warehouse. The role functions similarly to a utility worker or water spider supporting manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repetitive assembly and packaging of company products into final packages
- Place labels on packages and prepare materials for shipment
- Operate small production equipment used in packaging processes
- Insert manuals into binders and prepare documentation packages
- Count and sort various items used in product packaging
- Form or break down boxes for final product preparation
- Maintain records as required to comply with government standards
- Receive units from the warehouse and perform verification checks
- Perform light teardown and reassembly when required
- Support production teams by moving parts and picking materials from warehouse areas
- Unpack and repack units while maintaining quality standards
- Support material movement and production flow as needed
Required Experience:
- High School diploma or Associate degree depending on job family
- 0 years of relevant experience
- Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks at a workstation
- Ability to unpack, repack, and handle production materials
- Ability to work during second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing environment experience
- Experience working in medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated production environments
- Experience supporting production lines in a utility or support capacity
- Experience with packaging, rework, or production support roles
Required Skills:
- Assembly and packaging operations
- Basic production or manufacturing support
- Material handling and product verification
Preferred Skills:
- Warehouse picking and inventory support
- Electro-mechanical or manufacturing assembly
- Production rework and packaging processes
- Utility worker or water spider production support experience
