You will be working as part of a team and independently in a 19-story office building in downtown Cleveland, where lots of potential for client interaction exists and a professional attitude and good customer service are required. The candidate will be provided with a parking pass to park in the parking garage at no charge.

- Position Type: Contract
- Duration: 3 months, possible extension
- Start: As Soon As Possible
- Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, some potential overtime
- Pay rate: $26 - 28/hr
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner
- Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance
- Respond to work orders
- Move office furniture
- Perform light plumbing
- Change lightbulbs
- Perform general building maintenance
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma
- Any applicable certifications are a plus
- 3–5 years of job-related maintenance experience
- In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical
- Basic carpentry
- Drywall patching/painting
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
- Reliability
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Basic computer skills
- Any advanced general maintenance skills
- Any applicable licenses are a bonus
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
