Mechanical Revit Designer supports multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design and delivery of building systems by developing coordinated BIM models and construction documents for HVAC duct systems using Autodesk Revit. Works closely with mechanical engineers and other disciplines to deliver high-quality designs for Semiconductor, Life-Sciences / Pharma, Datacenters and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed HVAC ductwork layouts and 3D BIM models in Revit (MEP)
- Capable of creating a BIM Revit 3D model from scratch and detailing it up to LOD 300 / FEED phase and beyond into a LOD 400 / Detailed design, Issued for fabrication stage, incorporating complete HVAC ducting details including duct supports, instruments, fire-detection features and ready for testing and balancing and commissioning
- Prepare construction documents including plans, sections, and details in accordance with consulting standards
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural teams to ensure clash-free designs
- Perform model coordination and clash detection using Navisworks
- Interpret engineering calculations and translate them into constructible layouts
- Support engineers with design development, redlines, and revisions across project phases
- Apply industry standards such as ASHRAE guidelines and SMACNA duct standards
- Participate in internal QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist in maintaining BIM standards, templates, and families
- Developed coordinated HVAC ductwork models and construction drawings in Autodesk Revit for multidisciplinary consulting projects
- Maintained BIM standards, families, and templates to ensure consistency and quality
- Degree or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 10 years industry experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination platforms
- Exposure to building systems design in the following sectors: Semiconductor Facilities, Life-Sciences / Pharma Facilities, Datacenters, Industrial/process support buildings
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP modeling, worksets, families)
- Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals (airflow, duct sizing, equipment layout)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments
- Experience with multidisciplinary coordination and BIM workflows
- Strong communication skills for working with engineers and project teams
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables
- Experience in Plumbing and Fire-Protection systems
