Pay Rate: $50.00–$55.00 / Hour (USD)
Shift / Schedule: 4x8 Days (Monday–Friday with every other weekend required)
Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2-week period
Travel Requirements: Will work in all areas of the hospital including Colby and Pacific campuses (less than 2 miles from each other)
Job Summary
This is a contract position for a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting at a Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across two campuses. The role requires experience in discharge planning, care coordination, and diverse case management backgrounds. Candidates with Med Surg, LLOS, and ED experience are strongly preferred. First-time travelers are accepted, and pending licenses are acceptable. Locals are not eligible. The position requires floating between all hospital units across both campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute care case management and discharge planning services
- Coordinate care across hospital units and campuses
- Manage diverse case types including Med Surg, LLOS (long length of stay), and ED (emergency department) cases
- Document in EPIC charting system
- Float between all hospital units as needed, including Colby and Pacific campuses
Education Requirements
- Washington State LMSW licensure required
- BLS certification required
- Pending license accepted
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience required
- Must have Acute Care Experience
- Discharge planning and care coordination experience required
- Strong preference for diverse case management experience across Med Surg, LLOS, and ED settings
- First-timers accepted: Yes
