In this role, you will monitor and organize direct hire or subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex electrical construction project with multiple stakeholders. Your field supervision will ensure operations align with established schedules and that work methods are executed safely and efficiently.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors and organizes subcontractor activities through coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff within the area of responsibility.
- Monitors direct hire or subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Prepares Direct Hire methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements and/or reviews subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
- Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with overall established schedules.
- Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
- Enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
- Supports Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and technical documents.
- Coordinates engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
- Coordinates with design teams on constructability issues.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience OR 12-14 years of relevant work experience
- Heavy industrial U.S. direct hire construction experience
- Experience managing union craft
- Experience on large-scale mining or energy projects
- Experience working in remote or camp-based environments
- Experience with EPCM project structures
- Extensive knowledge of electrical operations and codes
- Construction planning, monitoring, and control expertise
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and regulations
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases)
- Subcontract management knowledge
- ES&H standards and compliance knowledge
- Strong communication and customer relations skills
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- Knowledge of subcontractor responsibilities and documentation
- Understanding of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook
- Knowledge of safety programs including Zero Accidents initiatives
- Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
