We're looking for a Manager, Digital Asset Management & Library Systems to lead the strategy, governance, and evolution of our enterprise asset ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of technology and creative operations, ensuring our growing library of brand and product assets is organized, searchable, compliant, and scalable. You will own the vision and roadmap for our DAM infrastructure, establish standards and governance, and partner cross-functionally to embed best practices across IT, Legal, and Marketing teams. This is a highly strategic leadership role responsible for turning our asset library into a high-performing system that accelerates speed-to-market, reduces redundancy, and enables teams to work smarter.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Ownership
- Define and lead the enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) strategy and multi-year roadmap
- Serve as system owner for DAM platforms (e.g., Bynder, SharePoint, Rights Cloud)
- Align asset management strategy to business, brand, and production goals
- Evaluate tools, integrations, and technology improvements to future-proof the ecosystem
Governance & Standards
- Establish enterprise-wide standards for metadata, taxonomy, naming conventions, permissions, and rights management
- Develop and maintain retention, archival, and destruction policies in partnership with Legal and Compliance
- Lead R.O.T. (Redundant, Obsolete, Trivial) data reduction initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce storage costs
- Ensure audit readiness and governance compliance
Information Architecture & Discoverability
- Design scalable metadata frameworks and controlled vocabularies
- Improve asset discoverability, usability, and consistency across the organization
- Drive system optimization through audits, clean-ups, and continuous improvement
Operations & Workflow Design
- Build and document streamlined ingestion, tagging, archiving, and distribution workflows
- Partner with Creative and Production teams to embed DAM practices into daily processes
- Lead migrations, consolidations, and large-scale archival projects
- Create playbooks, training, and onboarding materials
Reporting & Business Impact
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track usage, storage, compliance, and efficiency gains
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, eliminate duplication, and improve speed-to-market
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership
- Responsibility for auditing expiring assets across internal and external platforms, regularly communicating expiration reports, and partnering cross-functionally to determine which assets should be renewed, refreshed, or retired
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor DAM specialists, librarians, or contract resources
- Serve as primary point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive adoption through education, change management, and clear communication
- Act as a trusted advisor to Creative and Marketing leadership
- 7-10 years in digital asset management, archives, or enterprise information governance
- Experience leading DAM strategy or systems at scale
- Experience with creative asset licensing (Video, Imagery, Marketing Collateral, Talent Agreements, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of metadata standards (Dublin Core, MARC, schema.org), taxonomy design, and archival best practices
- Hands-on experience with DAM platforms (Bynder, SharePoint, or similar)
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders
- Strong analytical and operational mindset
