Pay Rate: $66.34 - $66.35 per hourPosition SummaryThe Data Scientist / Analyst will support the World Wide Cost Desk (WWCD) team by delivering advanced cost analysis, automation, and predictive analytics to support strategic roadmap decision-making. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze complex product costs and translate insights into clear, business-relevant recommendations.The ideal candidate brings strong data science, financial modeling, and analytics expertise with hands-on experience using Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx/KNIME.Key Responsibilities
- Support WWCD with cost analysis, automation, and cost prediction initiatives
- Perform detailed analysis of complex product costs using Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx/KNIME
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for data analysis
- Apply predictive analytics to forecast future program costs
- Identify cost deltas, issues, and develop workaround solutions
- Design and manage large analytical projects ensuring data accuracy and clarity
- Translate complex data into concise, business-relevant insights for stakeholders
- Build, maintain, test, and document complex workflows in Alteryx/KNIME
- Maintain documentation for database workflows, requirements, and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
- 2 years of experience in financial analysis or engineering
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, linking, formatting, charts)
- Experience with financial modeling
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx and/or KNIME, Tableau, and Excel
- Experience with management information systems (e.g., KNIME, Alteryx, Tableau, Business Objects)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience with cost analytics in product or manufacturing environments
