Job Summary: This is a Cath Lab Tech position at an acute care hospital rated as one of America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades.com. The facility has 150 staffed beds and specializes in coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemaker procedures. Daily caseload is 8–12 cases. Scrubs are provided for the Cath Lab. The hospital is located in Eureka, California, easy driving distance of 7 different state and national parks, showcasing everything from the rugged California coast to the famous Redwood highway. If you need housing assistance, the facility will help travelers find housing, even hiring a realtor to assist if necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures
- Perform peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
- Assist with permanent pacemaker procedures
- Support daily caseload of 8–12 procedures
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab or cardiology procedures
- First-time travelers accepted
Education Requirements:
- ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
- Fluoroscopy Permit required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Pending fluoroscopy permits accepted; candidates must have already applied for the permit at time of submission
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- No weekend requirement
- No floating requirement
- Call requirement: Yes
- Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Block schedule accommodations: Will consider
- Orientation: 30 hours
- Charting system: Epic
- Free parking on first day; assigned parking provided during orientation
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab
