The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience with/or a strong interest in avian, reptile, and small mammal medicine
- Is comfortable with or eager to grow in surgery and dentistry

- For seasoned veterinarians: interest in mentoring and guiding a medical team is welcomed through an optional Medical Director pathway

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical workups
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans to clients
- Conduct diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork, efficiency, and high medical standards
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on priorities, protocols, and workflow
- Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in daily rounds when possible
- Participate in practice management updates and ongoing training
Required Qualifications
- DVM degree from an accredited veterinary college or university
- Active state veterinary license
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain and maintain)
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary practice experience
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately physical tasks
- Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary care

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $140,000–$165,000 annually
