Global Systems Engineering, LLC (GSE), an Intreped Partners company, is seeking highly qualified candidates for prospective roles supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

We are seeking experienced professionals with Federal or pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in product development, contracting, partnerships, innovation, and program management for the following roles:
Administrative Program Specialist Multiple Levels
Provides operational and programmatic expertise to BARDA for execution of multiple research and development programs.
Bachelors or graduate degree in business or a scientific/life sciences field with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience supporting organizations related to advanced research and development and medical countermeasures.
Financial Support Specialist
Provide executive-level budget support including analyzing, preparing, and presenting monthly and yearly financial data, analyzing resources and expenses, and assisting in verifying and maintaining financial data integrity.
Graduate degree in business or financial field and 12 years of relevant industry experience.
Procurement Specialist Multiple Levels
Analyze requirements, perform market research, assist with development of acquisition plans, source selection plans, and requests for quotation/proposal, prepare award documentation, provide contract administration, perform closeout procedures.
Bachelors degree or higher in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods or organization and management and 8 years of Federal contracting experience. Prior Federal experience as a FAR-based Contracting Officer/Contract Specialist is highly desirable.
Programmatic/Technical Advisor Multiple Levels
Provide expertise and advisory support related to medical countermeasures being utilized for public health emergency responses.
Bachelors degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience. Most positions require advanced degrees. Relevant degree fields include life sciences (immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc.), physical sciences (engineering, physics, computer science, etc.), medicine, pharmacy, statistics
Desired areas of expertise include:
- Medicinal chemistry
- Preclinical development (animal models, pharmacology, toxicology)
- Advanced clinical development (medical officers, immunologists, clinical operations)
- Assay chemistry, microbiology, virology, immunology
- Analytical product testing and testing development
- Quality control
- Statistical programming (SAS, R, and other statistical software) extensive knowledge of FDA/ICH guidelines and CDISC data standards preferred
- Clinical and/or regulatory policy and pharmaceutical industry regulatory affairs
- Manufacturing (chemistry, manufacturing, and controls)
- Process development, process scale-up and process optimization
- Device development and manufacturing
- Reliability engineering
- Plastic consumable design and manufacturing
- Manufacturing scalability and capacity expansion
- Pharmaceutical facility architecture and application in commercial building construction
- Sterile/aseptic technic, sterile manufacturing/filling and sterile facilities
Candidates MUST:
- Be a US. Citizen or a Green Card Holder with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Be located within 50 miles of Washington, DC or HHS Regional Office for hybrid/onsite work.
