Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant reports to the Vice President, Business Development and supports marketing initiatives and assists department managers as necessary supporting the marketing function.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks and coordinate projects and activities as requested:

• Support with marketing content and presentations for internal circulation

• Coordinate and collaborate with external marketing firms on projects

• Produce clear and concise written correspondence in the form of letters and emails

• Organize the preparation of proposals and presentations using sales and marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports

• Ability to source, select and order promotional products while ensuring most cost effective.

• Provide support for the company website.

• Manage company publication subscriptions

• Compile industry information for creation of monthly industry reports

• Produce and source content for social media sites.

• Produce artwork, sourcing images, print buying, and checking copy

• Other duties as assigned

Assist with day-to-day sales and project activities as requested:

• Collaborating with both local and global team members

• Data entry

• Prepare status reports on marketing efforts and department activity (e.g. open quotes, hit rates, inventory, pending projects)

• Manage and file department records andsupporting documentation

• Support tracking of project status and provide timely and associated reports

• Prepare professional presentations and detailed spreadsheets

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Intermediate computer skills with ability to quickly learn company systems, including MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) andAdobe InDesign and other platforms, as needed.

• Self-starter that takes initiative, is detail-orientated, and works collaboratively

• Well organized, fast learner, and self-motivated

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines

• Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude

• Works well as both an individual contributor and team player

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Advertising

• • 1-2 years of experience in the marketing field
