Account Executive Job Description
Reports To: CEO
Location: Remote with minimal travel
Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing shipper relationships, and growing revenue through the sale of transportation and logistics solutions. This role focuses on prospecting, consultative selling, account management, and customer retention while serving as a trusted advisor to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new shipper relationships through outbound sales activities, networking, referrals, and lead generation.
- Demonstrate daily execution of the GSL CRM and sales operating system.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop transportation solutions for Truckload, LTL, Expedited, and Bonded Freight shipments.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- 2 years of B2B logistics sales experience.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and close business.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

Salary
- $60K starting salary.
- Year one all-in compensation potential: $100K.
- Year two all-in compensation potential: $150K.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
