Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity and detect suspicious behavior.
- Manage access control systems to authorize entry for authorized personnel while preventing unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies using established procedures including fire safety, first aid, AED operation, and emergency response protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other occurrences with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on new employees or contractors as part of the screening process.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring their involvement.
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining professionalism and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
- Handle physical security tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and performing crowd control when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all security regulations and company policies at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience in security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems including CCTV operation and access control systems.
- Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety procedures is preferred.
- Familiarity with incident report writing and emergency response procedures is essential.
- Experience with conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manual handling safely and effectively.
- Background in military service or related fields will be considered an asset.
