Radiology Tech

Global Service Resources is looking for a contract Radiology Tech for Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Pay Rate: $60 to $62/hr on W2

Schedule: 6AM to 2:30PM, Mon- Fri, 40 hours/week

Contract: 13 weeks with a high chance of extension

Requirements:

-Minimum 3 years of experience as a Radiology Tech in an inpatient/acute care hospital

-Must have valid ARRT

-BLS from American Heart Association

-Must not have been an employee of any DMC or Tenet hospitals in the last 12 months

-Must pass background check and drug test

Some Duties Include:

• Verification & Screening: Verifies patient identity, reviews medical records for exam appropriateness, and screens patients for pregnancy, metal implants, or adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals.
• Education & Support: Interviews patients to get medical histories, explains risks, benefits, and the imaging procedure, and provides post-care instructions.
• Trauma Response: Quickly assesses patient conditions and responds effectively to medical emergencies in the emergency or surgical setting.
• Equipment Setup: Prepares and calibrates X-ray, CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology (IR) machinery for designated scripts.
• Image Acquisition: Captures high-quality diagnostic images safely while strictly following radiation safety protocols.
• Initial Evaluation: Reviews images for clarity and positioning, documents any exceptions from established protocols, and communicates initial data to the radiologist.

You will not receive the same benefits as a direct employee of the facility. However, you will be able to sign up for Kaiser healthcare and Delta dental after 90 days of employment. No paid vacation time, but you will start to accrue 5 sick days after 90 days of employment.
