Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Personnel Security Specialist.
Job Description:
Summary: The Personnel Security Specialist will provide technical expertise and interpret security policy guidance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve in the Adjudicator or Sponsor role for the USAccess (HSPD-12) system in order to adjudicate or sponsor PIV card requests.
- Review and evaluate reports of investigation, security files, and other material and makes a recommendation to grant, deny, revoke, or suspend clearance eligibility for national security and public trust positions.
- Identify & mitigate potential security and suitability concerns as applicable.
- Assist with the preparation of adjudicative memoranda to include Statement of Reasons, Letter of Intent to Deny/Revoke, Warning and Final Determination letters.
- Assist with collecting and submitting documentation required for SCI nomination/adjudication.
- Initiate, review, and submit electronic background investigations to DCSA.
- Assist with clearance certifications and revalidations.
- Assist with Continuous Evaluation program requirements.
- Experience in the use of personnel security databases and clearance repositories to include JPAS/JCAVS, CVS, PIPS, DISS, JVS, CATS, NBIS, and/or Scattered Castles
Requirement:
- Three (3) to five (5) years relevant security experience.
- HS diploma required - Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred
- Experience with National Security, Suitability, or Due Process Adjudications OPM Essentials of Suitability Adjudication, Personnel Security Adjudication, or Due Process Adjudication certifications
- DNI Personnel Security Adjudications Course
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)
Security Requirements:
- Final Top Secret personnel security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Skills:
- Good Organization Skills
- Ability to resolve complaints and concerns
- Ability to use established procedures
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
- Basic Computer Skills – Basic experience with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.
Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
