This position will work directly with the Refugee Processing Center (RPC), Resettlement Support Centers (RSCs), International Office of Migration (IOM), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and affiliate leadership within the Global Refuge network to achieve these goals. The Senior Program Officer will supervise a team to ensure program outcomes are met.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead as a Subject Matter Expert on refugee resettlement processing, maintaining up to date and detailed knowledge of program requirements, processing trends and policy changes.
- Manage weekly refugee allocation placements to choose and place refugee cases across the Global Refuge affiliate network.
- Lead, manage and maintain network capacity numbers and track critical arrival trends impacting the U.S. and the Global Refuge affiliate network.
- Lead as a Subject Matter Expert for all pre-arrival processing functions and related systems such as IRIS, RPC and ORR databases and systems.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of daily pre-arrival case processing activities including but not limited to post-arrival benefit requests, assurances, case placement, transfers, and other core refugee processing functions.
- Develop and maintain data, information, and analysis on program outcomes and trends.
- Create and maintain effective tools and resources for distribution to the Global Refuge network.
- Design and provide expert network-wide training and technical assistance on all pre-arrival functions.
- Provide supervision and programmatic guidance to direct reports.
- Identify and report on program trends to gather an overall understanding and assessment of the resettlement environment, identify areas of strength, best practices, and challenges, and to inform network training and technical assistance needs.
- Coordinate with RCUSA, national Resettlement Agency and other critical external partners to achieve program goals.
- Work across departments to provide helpful data and information on processing trends.
- Work occasional holiday, weekends and/or evenings as assigned to ensure continuous processing of refugee clients and to tend to client-related emergencies.
- Execute other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management or related field in combination with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with refugee databases such as IRIS and RPC databases.
- Excellent MS Office Suite skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details and accuracy while adhering to compliance standards.
- Experience in a local resettlement office providing initial resettlement services and at a national office of a resettlement agency required.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Experience working with refugees, immigrants or limited English speakers.
- Experience in interpreting contract compliance and providing training and technical assistance to service providers and staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, knowledge in database management and other computer applications.
- Deep commitment to Global Refuge's core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
- Experience with and commitment to working in a diverse workforce.
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% of time.
