About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage our domestic and international freight operations. In this role, you will be the linch pin of our supply chain, ensuring goods move efficiently from origin to destination. You will work closely with our onsite Warehouse Manager and Supply Chain Manager to coordinate incoming deliveries and act as the primary point of contact for freight brokers, airlines, and customers.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing everything from international customs clearance to domestic truckload scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Management & Scheduling

• Container Management: Track, manage, and schedule incoming ocean containers from port to final destination.
• Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate seamlessly with the onsite Warehouse Manager to schedule container drops and ensure the warehouse is prepared for all incoming shipments.
• International Air Freight: Schedule international air freight shipments, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.

Customs & Vendor Relations

• Broker Management: Manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Customer Support: Work directly with customers to resolve customs clearance issues, missing paperwork, or delivery roadblocks. Resolve documentation concerns with various internal regulatory partners.
• Supply Chain: Express urgency when a component or item is forecasted to be out of stock, and work with the various team members to resolve said discrepancy.
• Trouble shooting: Actively call airlines, brokers, and carriers to investigate and resolve shipment delays, routing errors, or damages. Interface with regulatory to gain relevant documentation.

Reporting & Future Optimization

• Cost Reporting: Generate and maintain regular reports on container and air freight costs for the Director of Operations.
• System Management: Utilize Odoo ERP and advanced spreadsheets to track shipments, record costs, and maintain accurate logistics data.
• Container Management: Take on incoming container optimization and strategic supply chain initiatives to ensure long-term stability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Language Skills: Fluency in English(both written and verbal) is required to communicate effectively with international and domestic partners.
• Experience: Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding role handling both domestic (LTL/TL) and international (Air/Ocean) freight.
• Tech-Savviness: Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets) for reporting and data analysis. Willingness to learn our ERP System (Odoo ERP). Prior experience working within ERPs is preferred.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly coordinate between remote partners and onsite warehouse staff.
• Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with a track record of successfully troubleshooting supply chain bottlenecks and resolving clearance or transit issues.

Pay Range for Logistics Coordinator

The base pay range for this role $50,000 - 65,000 USD/annually. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
