Job Title: Drilling Performance Expert

Location: Offshore worldwide, currently offshore Indonesia

Responsibilities

A drilling Performance Expert specializes in optimizing drilling operations to enhance efficiency, safety, and overall performance. The role involves a deep understanding of drilling processes, equipment, technologies, and data analysis. Here are key responsibilities and aspects associated with the role of a drilling performance expert. Among his tasks, we can mention the below:

• Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of drilling operations, including the optimization of daily drilling activities accordingly to the program received by the client
• Develop and implement measures to improve drilling contractor performance and reduce non productive time while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Utilize real-time data Acquisition systems to monitor, Analyze and Interpretation Performances given by the automation systems and in general by specific equipment .
• Analyze drilling data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Employ advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from drilling data.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in drilling technologies, including automations (NOVOS and MMC) and Managed pressurize drilling (MPD)
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance drilling efficiency and performance.
• Collect data from drilling programs (wellbore expected pressure ,casing design, mud weight , fracture gradients) and integrate in the automation drilling system
• Conduct risk assessments related to drilling operations and develop mitigation strategies.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure drilling performance, including tripping speeds, rig up rig down timing, downtime, and overall drilling efficiency.
• Compare drilling performance against industry benchmarks and best practices.
• Supervise and organize training programs drilling crews on best practices, new technologies, and safety protocols.
• Share expertise and lessons learned across drilling teams and projects to improve overall performance.
• Ensure that drilling activities adhere to strict safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Consider and implement practices that minimize the environmental impact of drilling operations.
• Conduct regular reviews of drilling performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Capture and disseminate lessons learned from drilling operations to enhance future projects.
