1st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT
2nd Shift: 4pm – 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT

Description:

This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing fabricated steel and aluminum components using powder coating systems while ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment for steel and aluminum components.
• Apply powder coatings to fabricated products including fuel tanks, enclosures, frames, and structural assemblies.
• Prepare surfaces for coating through cleaning, masking, and material handling processes.
• Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspect completed work and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Mix, load, and manage coating materials according to production requirements.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot coating issues.
• Safely operate material handling equipment and assist with movement of parts throughout the coating process.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules and customer expectations.

Requirements:

• Previous powder coating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Experience coating steel, aluminum, or other fabricated metal products highly desired.
• Ability to recognize coating defects and make process adjustments to maintain quality standards.
• Experience operating powder coating equipment, spray systems, or related finishing equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, specifications, and production documents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Must pass a competency assessment and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
