The Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Construction Project Manager, escalating concerns, schedule impacts, budget risks, and quality issues when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the onsite company representative during construction activities.
- Monitor daily project activities and contractor performance.
- Ensure work is progressing according to project schedules and plans.
- Conduct routine site walkthroughs and document project progress.
- Verify work quality and identify deficiencies requiring correction.
- Coordinate access, logistics, and communication between contractors and facility personnel.
- Escalate schedule delays, safety concerns, quality issues, and budget impacts to the Construction Project Manager.
- Assist with project scheduling, documentation, reporting, and contractor coordination.
- Review drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure project requirements are being followed.
- Support project meetings, punch list activities, and project closeout efforts.
- Maintain accurate project records, photographs, and progress reports.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices on all job sites.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years of construction, facilities, or project coordination experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field.
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, or tradespeople.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between Milwaukee-area locations.
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing construction environments.
- Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management or a related field.
- OSHA safety training.
- Experience using project management or scheduling software.
