POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Representative - is an individual that has been selected to provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals.
As a vital part to the Global Pipe and Supply team, the Sales Representative must be able to build rapport and maintain relationships with the customer base given. It is necessary for this individual to work well within a team and to collaborate on behalf of the customer and the company in order to achieve success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generating Leads for the company in order to sustain and increase production and service for Global Pipe and Supply.
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.
- Negotiating contracts with prospective clients.
- Assist Facility managers in determining market pricing in order that we remain competitive with pricing.
- Prepare reports to keep operations and corporate abreast of the status of the operation.
- Visiting designated customers as well as potential customers to evaluate their needs or promote products and services.
- Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects to keep them informed of our products and services.
- Conduct training for prospects, if applicable, to make sure that they are getting exactly what they are needing.
- Create, plan, and deliver presentations about company products.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Answer client questions about the character and nature of our products and services.
- Follow up with customers to ensure invoices are being paid in a timely manner and we do not suffer delays in the payment process.
- Communicate customer and prospect product or service pain points to appropriate departments.
o Assist in developing a plan and response to the customer or prospect to eliminate or mitigate these pain points.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Coordinate with operations and other team members and departments to optimize sales efforts.
o Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
o Keep abreast of best practices, new technologies and promotional trends.
- Ensure Sales fall in line with the marketing strategy of GVT.
- Traveling up to 50 percent including overnights required.
- Required to attend all sales meetings, and account events if necessary.
- QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive experience in Sales
- Proven work experience as a sales representative
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
- A commitment to customer service
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers and suppliers
- Experience using computers in various tasks.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to travel.
Commission plan will be in place.
