The primary objective of this role is to perform visual and non‑destructive inspections on FRP components and other train parts, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Inspections will be coordinated according to train availability to minimize operational impact. The inspector will provide detailed reports, including photographic evidence, and maintain accurate records in alignment with the Client’s quality processes.
The Client will provide work instructions, inspection equipment, inspection plans, and record sheets for each inspection. The inspector must ensure timely and accurate reporting of findings, including defective characterization.
Main Activities to be Performed
- Perform visual and NDT inspections on FRP and other components according to defined standards.
- Record inspection results in control plans and ERP systems, assessing compliance and acceptability.
- Collaborate with Client representatives to confirm inspection status and meet daily targets.
- Provide immediate feedback on critical defects and alert stakeholders to emerging defect typologies.
- Ensure inspection activities align with train availability and operational priorities.
Inspection Coordination
- Schedule and perform inspections based on train availability at designated depots, minimizing operational disruption.
- Complete inspections within allocated lead time and prioritize critical components as directed by Client representatives.
Inspection Execution and Reporting
- Conduct inspections according to approved work instructions and inspection plans provided by the Client.
- Deliver systematic inspection reports that include:
- Detailed defect characterization and classification
- High‑quality photographs of inspected components and identified defects
- Compliance assessments against defined standards
- Provide daily status updates on fleet inspection progress, including percentage completion and defect summaries.
- Record and manage non‑conformity reports in the ERP system, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
- Utilize inspection tools and equipment supplied by the Client and maintain calibration integrity.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all inspection activities.
Status and Non‑Conformity Management
- Maintain accurate defects and status documentation in accordance with Client requirements.
Resource and Compliance Assurance
- Ensure all inspection activities meet Client compliance expectations and operational guidelines.
